De Lollo, Joyce Star at New York State Girls High School Champs

Nov. 18. TORI De Lollo and Kara Lynn Joyce both won two events at the NYS (New York State) Public High School Athletic Association Girls High School State Championships on November 18.

De Lollo, a senior at Loudonville High, won the 200 free in 1:51.60, then took the 100 back in a state record 56.35. The time broke her own mark of 56.42 set two years ago.

Webster High's Kara Lynn Joyce was also a double winner. Joyce, a sophomore, sprinted the 50 free in 23.43 and the 100 in 51.73, as she closed in on Richelle De Pold's state marks og 23.26 (set in 1991) and 50.53 set in 1989.

Garden Vity's Sarah Daly captured the 500 free in 4:54.66, while eighth-grader, Jaime McGowan, emerged victorious in the 100 breast (1:06.22).
