Day One of EMU Invite Complete

YPSILANTI, Michigan, December 1. AFTER a brief layoff the Eastern Michigan University men's and women's swimming and diving teams got back into the swing of things Friday night, hosting the annual EMU Invitational here at Jones Natatorium. Both squads turned in a stellar showing as the men captured four first place finished while junior Madeleine Pilchard claimed the lone medalist honor of the women's side.

The meet is a scored event, but at the time of publication the day's scores were not available. When they are made available they will be posted above.

Individually, senior Jason Piercey finished first in the 1650 freestyle with a time of 15:22.85 to go along side Preston Revere's top billing in the 100 freestyle with a mark of 45.46. Donald Ellison took first in the 200 breaststroke with a time of 2:04.33 and Dan Wohl won the 200 butterfly in 1:50.16.
