A Day in the Life of Harvard Swimming and Diving

Harvard Swimmer

CAMBRIDGE − At this time of year, many college swim teams like Harvard Swimming and Diving are enjoying exotic training locales such as the Florida Keys or Hawaii for their holiday camps, but it’s the work the athletes put in each day during the year that yields the most payoff in February and March. The grind of the college swimming season features early morning wake-ups, long hours in the weight room, and all-out intensity in the pool, combined with the ever-looming pressures of school work.

No team knows that better than Harvard Swimming and Diving.

Harvard senior Spenser Goodman offers fans a peek into his team’s day-to-day routine, featuring one swimmer’s alarm clock, heavy lifts, racing in practice, and spirited team camaraderie. And of course, at one of the most demanding academic institutions in the world, school awaits when Goodman and his teammates leave the pool. Check out the video below!
