Daria S. Ustinova Leads Russian 1-2 in Women’s 50 Free Semis at 2015 FINA World Junior Championships

Russia’s Daria S. Ustinova paced a Russian 1-2 in the women’s 50-meter free semis at the 2015 FINA World Junior Championships.

Ustinova led the way with a 25.22, just off Rozaliya Nasretdinova’s meet record of 25.02 from 2013.

Ustinova has some time to drop in finals to challenge the meet record as well as the World Junior mark of 24.87 by Chen Xinyi at the 2014 Asian Games.

Mariia Kameneva hit the wall second in 25.44 with Australia’s Shayna Jack qualifying third in 25.47.

Hungary’s Flora Molnar (25.54), China’s Tang Yuting (25.54), Japan’s Rikako Ikee (25.57), USA’s Ashley Volpenhein (25.82) and USA’s Lauren Pitzer (25.84) made the finals as well.
