Curl-Burke Hosts Food Drive

LOUDOUN COUNTY, Virginia, November 19. RECENTLY, the Curl-Burke Swim Club hosted the Pilgrim Pentathlon Swim Meet at its newest training site in Loudoun County, Claude Moore Recreation Center. Meet competitors ranged from ages 7 to 9.

In the spirit of Thanksgiving, the teams sponsored a food drive for a local agency, and requested the teams who participated at the meet bring in at least one canned good or more.

Teams: Aqua Hoya Swim Club, Arlington Aquatic Club, Best Times Swim Club, Blue Waves Swim Team, DC Parks and Recreation, Flying Gull Aquatic Club, Fort Belvoir Swim Team, Hydro-Sonic Tiburones, Joe Flaherty's Dolphins, Maryland Suburban Swim Club, Potomac Marlins, and Patriot Swim Club

The swimmers donated more than 500 pounds of food for Loudoun Interfaith Relief food bank.
