Conference USA Swimmers Break 8 Records

HOUSTON, Texas. February, 24. SMU and Hawaii made quick work of any old records still standing after day 2 of the C-USA championships.

Flavia Rigamonti got things rolling in the 500 free with a 4:40.55, a new meet record by over five seconds. Andrew Affleck from Hawaii had the same results on the men's side with his 4:24.77.

In the 200 IM the new records came from SMU's Ian Clark and Jennifer Basel with their 1:45.70 and 2:00.70 efforts. Laura Pomeroy, SMU, and Thomas Winkler, Hawaii, are the new meet record holders for the 50 free with their 22.34 and 19.82 swims.
