Competition Schedule Getting Ready to Heat Up

PHOENIX, Arizona, September 13. THE last few weeks have been relatively slow in the swimming world, but don’t fret. Soon enough, the action is going to soar to a frantic pace and stopwatches around the globe will tell countless stories. That goes for the college scene, which is on the horizon, and for the international spectrum, which includes the start of the World Cup campaign.

The first three stops on the World Cup circuit are only two months away. The tour, which draws many of the top athletes in the world, starts in Durban, South Africa from November 11-13 and continues on to Sydney Australia from November 19-20. The third stop, also the last of this year, is slated for November 24-25 in Daejon, Korea.

As for next year, the World Cup series will resume from January 17-18 in Stockholm, Sweden and will stop in Berlin, Germany from January 21-22. Swimmers will then head to Moscow, Russia (January 25-26) and will bounce to New York from February 3-4. The circuit wraps up from February 10-12 in Belo Horizonte, Brazil.
