Colorado Men’s 4A High School State Championships

FORT COLLINS, Colorado, June 3. CLAY Myers from Ralston Valley chalked up two individual golds and one class record at the Colorado Men's 4A High School State Championships.

Myers blasted the field in the 200 IM, taking first with a time of 1:53.17. He went on to set a 4A class record in the 500 freestyle, clocking a 4:35.61. Myers' swim reset his 2007 record of 4:38.98.

Nick Koerner of Silver Creek also snared two class titles. He won the 50 freestyle in an All-American time of 21.18 and shattered the former class record in the 100 freestyle. His 45.54 time bettered the 2005 record of 45.95 set by Kris Findorff from Cheyenne Mountain.

In the diving competition, Taylor Sishc from Mountain View destroyed the field with a score of 555.60. Two Thompson Valley teammates, Greg Conway and Travis Hartman, placed second and third, respectively, with scores of 430.50 and 427.35.

Silver Creek eked out the class title with a final tally of 236 points. Cheyenne Mountain compiled 231 points and took the runner-up spot while Ralston Valley took third (196).
