The second day of the men’s NCAA championships is bound to be just as thrilling as the first day, which saw NCAA records fall in three events. Swimming World’s Mike Stott caught up with three coaches who gave their analyses of the first day’s competition then gave some insight into what their teams are facing in today’s races in Iowa City.

Georgia’s Harvey Humphries and Michigan’s Josh White break down the training the distance swimmers do at their schools and their coaching philosophies behind the amount of work their athletes put in regularly. Hyping up today’s competition in Iowa are Western Kentucky’s Bruce Marchionda and Stanford’s Ted Knapp.
