Class of 2012 Swimming World Five Star Josh Fleagle Makes Commitment

PHOENIX, Arizona, August 31. SWIMMING World five-star prospect Josh Fleagle has made his collegiate selection.

Fleagle, who maintains his profile in the Swimming World College Recruit Rankings, is a sprinter from St. Mary's, Ohio, and will be staying close to home after pledging his services to Ohio State University.

"One of the most important things I would have to say is that it is so close to home, that made my mother very happy!" Fleagle told Swimming World about his choice. "I love the Ohio State swim team and the closeness that they all share with one another, and speaking of a great swim team what would be a great team without great coaches. Coach Bill Wadley and I have known each other since I was 11, and I have always loved the attention he gave to every swimmer great or small. So, growing up, I couldn't think of anyone else being a better coach. I could go on and on about how great The Ohio State University is and probably could write volumes about it but I think simply that I love the people, places, and coaches."

Fleagle trains with Auglaize-Mercer YMCA, and has long course national cuts in the 50-meter free (23.46) and 100-meter free (51.78). His top time in the 50-yard free (20.23) already puts him clear of the NCAA Division I B cut, just announced recently.

In other commitment news, Sara Drake, a two-star swimmer from Y-Spartaquatics, has committed to swim for the University of South Carolina.
