Chinese National City Games: Wang Shun Matches Eighth-Ranked Time in 200 IM

NANCHANG, China, October 22. THE Chinese National City Games kept rolling with another top 10 time being posted on the scoreboard. The meet is taking place in long course meters.

Wang Shun captured the men's 200 IM crown in 1:58.56 to match his eighth-ranked season best time from the Chinese Nationals held in September. Mao Feilian placed second in 2:01.24, while Ye Zhengchao finished third in 2:02.96.

Zhang Fenglin earned the men's 200 back title in 1:57.03, while Lin Yongqin touched second in 1:59.73. Xu Jiayu placed third in 2:00.69. Zhang missed his fifth-ranked season best of 1:56.34 from Chinese Nationals in April

Wang Haibing won the women's 100 free title in 55.32, edging Zheng Yanan (55.34) by just .02 seconds. Ye Shiwen, who already has won four gold medals this meet, took third in 55.44. Li Zhesi wound up fourth overall in 55.47. Li Xiang topped the women's 200 breast in 2:27.62, while Fan Rong took second in 2:28.61. Li Qing wound up third in 2:29.08.

In semifinal action, He Jianbin clocked a 23.08 to lead the men's 50 free qualifying. Wang Xin finished second in 23.50, while Zeng Xianling took third in 23.52. Fu Yuanhui paced the women's 200 back in 2:12.16, while Yao Yi took second in 2:12.17. Chen Ji qualified third in 2:12.86. Zhang Qibin topped the men's 100 fly semis with a 53.50, while Yu Puxue took second in 54.50. Xu Zhijie placed third in 54.78.
