China, United States Share Top Honors in Day Three of AT&T USA Diving Grand Prix

FORT LAUDERDALE, Florida, May 12. DURING the third day of diving at the AT&T USA Diving Grand Prix, held in conjunction with the International Swimming Hall of Fame's Induction Weekend, three events were completed. China came out on top in a pair of them, while the United States broke through with gold in the other.

In the women's platform finale, China went 1-2 as Wang Xin (408.65) won gold and Chen Ruolin (402.95) picked up silver. Canada's Emilie Heymans rounded out the podium with a bronze-winning tally of 344.35.

In the men's three-meter event, Troy Dumais of the United States claimed his first international victory in an individual event since winning the three-meter at the 2003 Canada Cup. Dumais came from behind in the final dive to secure gold with a 464.10 tally.

Meanwhile, China's Luo Yutong took silver with 459.95 points, while the United States' Chris Colwill earned bronze with 459.20 points.

In the synchronized women's platform event, the Chinese tandem of Wang and Chen closed out the day with gold after posting a total of 338.10 points. Australia's duo of Briony Cole and Melissa Wu took silver with 316.20 points, while Canada's pair of Meaghan Benfeito and Roseline Filion garnered bronze with 315.75 points.
