China Grabs Men’s Synchro Tower Title in Diving; Dominates Team Scoring

MELBOURNE, Australia, March 24. THE Chinese pair of Huo Liang and Lin Yue dominated the final competition in the men's synchro tower title in the final diving event of the FINA World Championships.

The gold-medalists tallied a top score of 489.48, while Russia's pair of Dmitriy Dobroskok and Gleb Galperin took silver with 467.16 points.

The American duo of David Boudia and Thomas Finchum, who won the preliminary round, settled for bronze with 463.56 points.

The Chinese contingent easily owned the team competition with 14 medals (nine gold, four silver, one bronze), while Russia took second with four medals (one gold, one silver, two bronze). Other top teams included Canada with three silvers and Germany with one silver and three bronzes.
