Chicago 2016 Alters Pool Plans, Heading Temporary Route

CHICAGO, Illinois, December 15. CHICAGO 2016, the bid committee in charge of trying to acquire hosting duties for the 2016 Olympic Games, announced some plan changes over the weekend according to the United States Olympic Committee.

The committee announced that it would build temporary pool locations for use in the Games, instead of creating a permanent facility. According to the article, "all temporary pools will be moved to other Chicago parks after the games."

Additionally, instead of the previous destination for the aquatic facility, in Douglas Park, the center of all things aquatic will be in Washington Park, near the Olympic Stadium.
