Cheshire High School Runs Dual Meet Streak to 235

CHESHIRE, Connecticut, October 17. ACCORDING to a report by The Hartford Courant, the Ed Aston-led Cheshire High girls swim team in Connecticut ran its dual-meet win streak to 235 with a 122-48 triumph over Branford this week.

According to some reports, this now stands as a national high school girls record after clearing the previously known best of 234 set by Elkhart Central in Indiana from 1980-84.

While there is no denying the fact that Cheshire's 235 (and counting) is impressive, there is still some discussion on what constitutes a national high school record as it relates to streaks. The primary issue is that no one knows if all of these streaks were created in similar fashions.
