Chesapeake Elite Pro-Am: Emily Brunemann, Michael Klueh Produce Meet, Pool Records in Distance Events

OKLAHOMA CITY, Oklahoma, December 19. WHILE the Chesapeake Elite Pro-Am is more known for its 50 free short course yard knockouts, the distance freestyles produced meet and pool records on the final day of the meet.

FAST's Emily Brunemann took home the women's 1650 free title in 15:51.45, while RAC Aquahawgs' Jennifer Holtzen finished second in 16:25.77.Wild West's Samantha Harding wound up third in 16:46.81. Longhorn's Michael Klueh topped the men's 1650 free in 14:49.68, while FAST's Robert Margalis touched second in 14:59.41. Mission Viejo's Logan Redondo earned third in 15:23.54.

Daytona Beach's Rex Tullius earned yet another title at the meet with a 1:45.29 in the men's 200 back. Nelson Silva finished second in 1:48.03, while Chesapeake's Paul Le garnered third in 1:49.54. Mustangs' Claire Brandt won the women's 200 back in 1:59.57, while Dads' Danielle Yoon touched second in 2:03.66. Mission Viejo's Jax Shoults placed third in 2:05.19.

TCU's Sabine Rasch (50.12) touched out FAST's Julia Anderson (50.20) and Mustangs' Jennifer Blackman (50.28) for the women's 100 free victory. Schroeder's Adam Mania captured the men's 100 free in 43.57. Longhorn's Dale Rogers (44.04) and Andrew Wang (45.35) made up the rest of the podium.

Gold's Emily Neubert snared the women's 200 fly in 2:01.96, while TCU's Amanda Vincent touched second in 2:03.04. Houston's Ali Bleasdell took third in 2:04.72. FAST's Margalis earned his second podium of the night with a 1:45.33 to win the men's 200 fly. Mission Viejo's Partick Simpkins took second in 1:48.28, while Silva also podiumed for the second time with a third-place 1:48.54.

KING's Megan Jendrick snagged the women's 50 breast title in 28.30. Wichita's Nicole Daniels (29.95) and Dolphins' Rachel Revolinski (30.52) finished second and third. Longhorn's Matt Lowe (24.80) and Rogers (25.32) went 1-2 in the men's 50 breast, while TCU's Edgar Peyro took third in 26.29.
