CCSU Downs New Hampshire

NEW BRITAIN, Connecticut, November 11. JUNIOR Kristen Jurzynski took home three first place finishes to lead the Blue Devils to a 123-118 victory over New Hampshire in dual meet action on Saturday afternoon. Jurzynski took first in the 1,000-yard freestyle, the 400-yard individual medley and the 500-yard freestyle to tally a total of 27 points. With the win, CCSU improves to 10-1 in dual meet competition this season. The Blue Devils return to the pool on Nov. 17-19 at the Boston University Invitational.

Lindsey Snyder, Rachel Brookman, Erin Crowley and Gail Bonaldi teamed up to take first in the 200-yard medley relay. The team posted a time of 1:50.83, just 2.79 seconds behind the pool record Snyder, Brookman and Crowley helped to set last season.

Crowley, Snyder and Brookman teamed up again, along with teammate Kandra Kane in the 200-yard free relay to finish in first place. The team recorded a time of 1:39.18, just .17 seconds behind the pool record for the event.

Individually, senior Joanna Bocer won the 200-yard free, Brookman won the 100-yard fly, Snyder captured first place in the 100-yard back and Crowley was victorious in the 50-yard free. Bocer posted a time of 1:57.77, Brookman put up a time of 57.69, Snyder finished her event in 58.04 and Crowley took first with a 24.98.
