House, the 75th-ranked recruit in the Class of 2014 by CollegeSwimming.com, is a backstroke specialist with the ability to make a big impact on the Cavaliers.

House turned in a 54.11 in the 100-yard backstroke at the 2013 Indiana High School State Championships while swimming for Carmel High. She also has a 25.93 50-yard back and 1:58.92 200-yard back to her credit from the 2012 Speedo Winter Junior Nationals less than a year ago as she continues to refine her stroke.

The third-ranked recruit in the state of Indiana also has some ability in long course meters. Her top listed time in long course is a 2:18.87 in the 200-meter fly, but that happened at the 2009 Indiana Senior State Long Course Championships during the techsuit era. Since, she’s had much more of a focus on her backstroke. She owns a 1:03.96 in the 100-meter back and a 2:17.80 in the 200-meter back.

Hayden, the 86th-ranked recruit in the Class of 2014 by CollegeSwimming.com, is a sprint freestyler.

Hayden, ranked just behind teammate House as the fourth-best in the state, clocked a 23.20 in the 50-yard free at the 2013 Indiana High School State Championships while representing North Central High School out of Indianapolis. She also clocked a 50.92 in the 100-yard free at that meet as well.

In long course competition, Hayden posted a 26.58 in the 50-meter free and a 57.41 in the 100-meter free at the Speedo Junior National Championships this past summer. She also turned in a 2:06.12 in the 200-meter free to demonstrate a bit of versatility.
