Carmel High School broke the national record for most consecutive state high school championships titles, regardless of state, sport or gender, with its 30th straight win today in Indianapolis.

The 30th victory broke a tie with Punahou High School’s 29 straight boys state titles in Hawaii, some of which occurred while President Barack Obama was in attendance at his alma mater.
