Canadian Women’s Water Polo Downs Czech Republic in Qualifier

IMPERIA, Italy, February 19. CANADA's Women Water Polo Team captured its second victory today at the FINA Olympic Qualifier tournament in Italy. The Canadian team defeated Czech Republic 21 to 5, climbing to 3rd ranked in their division.

Canada took little time to show they were out for the win as they scored 10 goals in the first half, leaving the Czech empty handed. In the second half, Canada added six goals in the third quarter and five in the fourth totaling a twenty-one goals for victory.

Team Captain Kristina Alogbo and veteran Sandré Lizé of Montreal were Canada's top scorers adding an impressive 4 goals each to the scoreboard.
