California Men, Stanford Women Retain Lead in TYR/CSCAA Division I Dual Meet Poll

EVANSTON, Illinois, February 9. AFTER a week of upsets that shook up the men's top twenty-five, there was little change within the top six in the latest TYR/CSCAA Division I Dual Meet Poll. The latest poll also sets up an interesting match-up between the top-ranked California men and second-ranked Stanford on February 19. The Stanford women claimed a commanding 34 of 40 first-place votes, but will put that #1 ranking on the line this weekend against fourth-ranked California. The Michigan men made the biggest move upward landing at 9th. On the women's side USC, which suffered a 182-118 setback to Cal dropped three spots.

Seventy women's and fifty-two men's teams received votes by coaches. For most teams, this poll will be the final ranking prior to the conference championship season. A final poll will be released following the conclusion of the conference championships.
