Burwell “Bumpy” Jones Sets U.S. Masters Swimming National Record

FORT LAUDERDALE, Florida, February 23. AT the 16th Annual Fort Lauderdale Masters Challenge, Burwell "Bumpy" Jones added another U.S. Masters Swimming standard to his collection.

Jones clocked a time of 6:01.70 in the 400-yard IM competition to demolish his previous 75-79 age division national record of 6:07.42 set last year. So far in 2009, Jones has set four USMS national records in the yard category with top times in the 500 free (6:14.89), 200 back (2:35.19), 100 IM (1:11.98) and 200 IM (2:39.79).
