British Teenagers Organizing Channel Relay Crossing to Raise Funds for Breast Cancer Campaign

CHICHESTER, West Sussex, December 6. A group of six teenagers ranging from 14 to 17 will attempt a channel relay crossing in late August or early September 2009. The team, being organized by 15-year-old Charlotte Wood of the Bishop Luffa C of E school in Chichester, will donate all proceeds from the fundraising event to the Breast Cancer Campaign.

The initial plan for the swim is that each of the six swimmers will be in the water an hour at a time and the goal is to complete the swim in less than 16 hours with each swimmer taking at least two shifts.

The ambitious plan, however, takes start up money and Wood is requesting help. If you or anyone you know can help, please e-mail Wood at charlotte10.wood@virgin.net.
