Bowling Green State vs. Ohio

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio, November 9. SOPHOMORE Chelsea Lopus and junior Alisha Yee paced the Falcons with two first-place finishes each, as Bowling Green was defeated by Mid-American Conference foe Ohio. The squads split the relay wins as the team of Lopus, Yee, Meg Richardson, and Frankie Houck won the 200 IM in a time of 1:47.15 to start the duel meet.

Lopus picked up her third and fourth wins of the year as she took the 1000 free in 10:36.91 and the 200 fly in 2:08.96, narrowly edging out second place by one-one hundredth of a second.

Yee, the current MAC swimmer of the week, added two more individual wins to her season total, giving her eight solo wins on the year. She once again cruised to victories in the 200 IM and 200 back. In addition, senior Michael Carriaga place third in the 200 IM.

Sophomore Houck also racked up a victory in the 50 free in a time of 24.57 and teammate Richardson finished third in 24.78.

Junior Ashley Belrose dove to a first place finish in the 1 meter diving event, while senior Jill Auer placed second on the 3 meter. This is the second win for Belrose this year, as she won the 1 meter at Ball State as well.

The Orange and Brown will look to get their first duel meet victory of the year tomorrow (11/10) as they host the Miami RedHawks at Cooper Pool. The contest is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m.
