PHOENIX, Arizona, November 1. WHILE his RCP Tiburon Mile has been on a Swimming World Magazine cover multiple times since its creation, Bob Placak has never been on the cover. This month, Swimming World senior writer John Lohn helped our readers get to know Placak a bit better in our cover story.
Placak talks about his philanthropy, which included creating the RCP Tiburon Mile as well as the RCP Sprint Classic this year, to help raise funds for charity. Placak is a UCLA graduate who is also an active competitor in Masters swimming.
