Babson v. Bridgewater

BRIDGEWATER, Massachusetts, February 1. THE Babson swimming and diving teams split a dual meet at Bridgewater State. The men defeated the Bears, 112-94, while the women closed out their regular season competition with a 196-92 loss.

The men's team posted a total of eight victories, including two apiece by sophomore Aaron Paradis, sophomore Ted Plaisted, and junior captain Philippe Noelting. Paradis swept the 1-meter and 3-meter diving events, Plaisted prevailed in the the 200 free and 100 back, and Noelting finished first in the 50 and 100 free. The Beavers also received wins from junior Ari Gray in the 1000 free and junior Thayer Glasscock in the 200 IM.

Senior co-captain Meg Lynch celebrated her final regular season meet with three victories, as she won the 200 IM, the 500 free, and the 100 breast. First-year Mia Filippini added a win in the 50 free and a second-place effort in the 100 fly, while senior Skye Hendrix placed second in the 100 and 1000 free. The Beavers' 200 free relay team of Filipinni, Hendrix, junior Shirley Wong, and first-year Christina Stone was also victorious.
