Austrian Long Course Championships: Distance Timed Finals Featured on Day One

VIENNA, Austria, February 25. THE first day of swimming at the Austrian Long Course Championships in Vienna featured timed finals in distance events.

Jordis Steinegger won the women's 400 IM in 4:53.18, while Uschi Halbreiner placed second in 4:56.53. Viktoria Hackl completed the top three in 5:08.82. Dinko Jukic snatched the men's 400 IM title in 4:20.10, while Jakub Maly touched second in 4:27.35. Dominik Dur finished third in 4:30.04.

Nina Dittrich grabbed the women's 800 free crown in 8:56.91, while Nicole Gross finished a distant second in 9:13.58. Anais Szekendi wound up third in 9:19.82. David Brandl completed the day with a winning time of 15:55.19 in the men's 1500 free. Florian Janistyn placed second in 15:59.90, while Christian Scherubl took third overall in 15:59.93.
