Arkansas-Little Rock Starts Its Christmas Invite

LITTLE ROCK, Arkansas, December 1. THREE UALR swimmers set personal records and one set season records in two events as the Trojans hosted the first day of the UALR Christmas Invitational.

Danielle Horack set her personal best in the 100 yard butterfly placing 13th with a time of 1:01.93.

Kellie LaMonica set her personal best in the 50 yard freestyle in the prelims with a time of 27.48 and went on to place 20th in the finals with a time of 27.80. She also placed 22nd in the finals of the 100 yard butterfly with a time of 1:12.16.

Emily Adams finished the 50 yard freestyle in 25.90 for ninth place, while Shannon Murphy recorded a time of 26.17 for a 15th place finish.

Jessica Chime placed 23rd in the 50 yard freestyle with a time of 30.02, while Gabrielle Edwards set a personal best in the event with a time of 31.30 for 24th place.

Chelsea Churchill was the top Trojan finisher for the day placing ninth in the 200 yard backstroke in 2:28.24.

Brenda Gannon set season records with times of 5:16.58 in the 500 yard freestyle for tenth place and 4:50.39 in the 400 yard individual medley for tenth place.

The UALR relay team of Murphy, Gannon, Horack, and Churchill placed fifth in the 400 yard medley relay in a time of 4:16.62.
