Arizona Wildcats Set American, NCAA Record in 200 Free Relay

MINNEAPOLIS, Minnesota, March 8. THE Arizona Wildcats made a statement in the first event of the night with an American and NCAA record time of 1:27.23 as the team of Lara Jackson, Lacey Nymeyer, Anna Turner and Lindsey Kelly grabbed Arizona's fifth 200 free title in NCAA history.

Georgia's Kara Lynn Joyce, Jessica Cole, Anne-Marie Botek, and Anna Miller finished second in 1:28.44. Joyce went out with a blazing fast 50 in 21.69 to nearly take down her American, NCAA record of 21.63 in the event.

Michigan's Kaitlyn Brady, Margaret Kelly, Hannah Smith and Lindsey Smith placed third in 1:28.80.

Notably, LSU's quartet of Katie Gilmore, Colleen Bertirotti, Sabrina Messmer and Katherine Nolan won the consolation heat in 1:29.69 from lane seven.
