MESA – The next stop of the Arena Pro Swim Series will be held in the stunning Skyline Aquatic Center in Mesa, Ariz., in mid-April and will feature Olympic champions in one of the best meets in the United States. Age-group swimmers have been enjoying a special opportunity to take part in the meet alongside Olympians, and meet organizers are searching for top age-groupers in Arizona to participate in a fun relay during the meet and win the coveted Arena Club Cup trophy.

On Saturday, April 18, swimmers 12 years old and younger will have the chance to swim in a mixed-gender 200-meter medley relay before finals that evening. Each relay will consist of two boys and two girls from the same USA Swimming team, with each team to be coached by a celebrity athlete. To qualify for this special swim, athletes must swim in special time trials between February 20 and March 15 in 50 yards of each stroke.

The top swims can be submitted by using this Google Docs form by March 18. If your team’s time is one of the top eight among those submitted, you will be notified by March 22 to compete in the event against seven other Arizona teams! Each team will receive 10 tickets for friends and family to watch the meet on Saturday in the Arena Shark Tank. If your team is an Arena team, you will receive 20 free tickets! Additional tickets are available for $5 each.

The event will take place at 3:30 p.m., with a special pre-event emceed by Olympic champion Rowdy Gaines and featuring Arena-sponsored professional swimmers. The fastest relay will receive the Arena Club Cup, and will be invited to defend the title in 2016! Also, the top relay will receive $1,500 to spend on Arena products. The second-place team will receive $1,000 in Arena Bucks, while the third-place team will win $500 Arena Bucks.

Social Media Prize: The team that posts the best “coverage” of their participation on their social media sites (tag @ArenaUSA and #ArenaClubCup) will win $500 in Arena VIK and a visit from an Arena athlete at a mutually agreed upon practice or meet in 2015.
