TUCSON, Arizona, October 6. Aquazot Swim Club’s Daniela Georges, the ninth-best recruit overall and fourth-best in the state of California in Collegeswimming.com‘s rankings, has verbally committed to swim for the University of Arizona next fall.

Georges will contribute points right away for the Wildcats, as she has already posted some very quick times in a number of different events, including the 50 free (23.68), 100 free (50.37), 200 free (1:45.83), 500 free (4:39.82), 1650 free (16:54.89), 100 back (54.21), 200 back (1:59.35), 200 fly (1:56.96), 200 IM (1:58.97) and 400 IM (4:13.38).

Her versatility will be a huge help in dual meets, as she can score in practically any event. She’ll have several events to pick from for championship meets as well, as she would have placed fourth in the 500 free, ninth in the 200 IM, sixth in the 400 IM, ninth in the 200 free and eighth in the 200 fly at the 2014 Pac-12 Championships.

The addition of Georges next fall could be key in boosting the Wildcats back to the top of the Pac-12 Conference.
