AMES, Iowa, June 27. THIRTEEN-year-old Timothy Jenks, a member of the Ames Cyclones Aquatics Club in Ames, Iowa, died yesterday after he was hit by an SUV during a group bike ride, according to an article in the Ames Tribune.

Jenks was riding in a group of eight cyclists when his front wheel touched the back wheel of the rider in front of him, causing him to swerve and ultimately end up in the path of an SUV passing the group from behind.
