Amanda Nunen, Samuel Magnan Cruise To Victory On Night One Of Virginia Sectionals

CHRISTIANBURG, Virginia, March 20. AMANDA Nunen of the Egg Harbor Township Seahawks and Samuel Magnan of Parkland Aquatic Club kicked off the Speedo Christianburg Sectionals with impressive distance freestyle wins.

Nunen of the Egg Harbor Township Seahawks won the 1000 free by a ten-second margin with a personal best of 9:55.67. Amanda Chabbott of the Eagles dropped sixteen seconds from her personal best to take second wtih a 10:05.21. Caitlin Daday, a Villanova recruit representing Parkland Aquatic Club, clocked in at 10:06.67 for third.

Parkland Aquatic Club’s Samuel Magnan cruised to victory in the 1650 free with a winning time of 15:19.07. Lane Stone of Nation’s Capital Swim Club dropped more than 34 seconds and touched in 15:45.85 for second, just ahead of Diplomat Swim Club’s Arthur Markley, who clocked in with a personal best of 15:45.96.
