Amanda Beard to Pose for Playboy

PHOENIX, Arizona, May 2. AMANDA Beard will add Playboy to her list of cover shots as the Olympian will grace the July cover of the worldwide publication, according to her agent Evan Morgenstein.

Official confirmation of this story had been held up until all of Beard's sponsors were notified of the deal.

Beard is a two-time Olympic gold medalist with golds at both the 1996 Atlanta and 2004 Athens Games. She also has four silver medals and a bronze to her credit. She also became the first U.S. woman since 1968 to win the 200 breaststroke at an Olympic event with her victory in 2004. Overall, she owns eight U.S. National titles.

As part of her modeling career, she has appeared in the Sports Illustrated swimsuit edition, FHM and Women's Health Fitness.
