Alexandra Walsh Lowers Own NAG Record In 100 Back

WEBSTER, New York, March 29. TWELVE-year-old Alexandra Walsh of Connecticut lowered her own 11-12 National Age Group record in the 100 back tonight at the Eastern Zone Short Course Championships in Webster, N.Y.

Walsh took six one-hundredths off her previous record, posting a time of 55.25 to lower her 55.31 from earlier this year. She went out in 26.90 and came home in 28.35 in the record-breaking swim.

Walsh has been on a tear recently, setting short course age group records in the 100 back, 200 breast and 100 IM so far in 2014.
