PHOENIX – JUNIOR Pan Pacific champion Alex Valente joins today’s edition of The Morning Swim Show shortly after returning from Asia, where he competed in two World Cup meets.

Valente’s goal was to compete in a championship final, and he did that in the 100 fly in Singapore. He talks about his encounter with Chad Le Clos in the ready room and the lessons he learned about race preparation that is vastly different from what he’s experienced. This has been a special year for Valente in the pool, with national age group records and multiple wins on his record. He talks about looking ahead to the Olympic Trials and what it will take for him to find himself racing for a spot on the Olympic team in the 100 fly.
