Aggies Win Inaugural Swimming World Magazine’s Media Guide Cover of the Year Award

PHOENIX, Arizona, April 5. IN the second inaugural award honoring the impressive work done by media relations departments throughout the country, Texas A&M claimed Swimming World Magazine's Media Guide Cover of the Year award.

The women's swimming cover, put together by honorable mention Sports Information Director (SID) of the Year Chris Harrell, publications specialist Cyndi Mousner and photographer Glen Johnson, won this year's accolade based on a vote by the Phoenix-based staff of the magazine.

The Texas women's cover, compiled by honorable mention SID of the Year Travis Feldhaus, took second, while the covers of TCU (designed by Grant Hawkins with the direction of media relations contact Kyle Seay) and the Tennessee women's guide (designed by Freeman Melancon Bryant Advertising with the direction of media relations contact Casey Self) tied for third place.

Thanks to each media relations department for providing copies of each cover (seen at the right).

In the coming weeks, Swimming World Magazine will announce its inaugural Media Guide of the Year award based primarily on each school's attention to the history of the programs involved as well as the usefulness of content included in each guide. Additionally, guides will be judged based on the overall look and design of each publication.
