#3 Texas Men’s Swimming & Diving Upsets #2 Auburn, 133-95

From UT – AUSTIN, TEXAS – The No. 3 ranked University of Texas men’s swimming and diving team upset No. 2 ranked Auburn, 133-95, handing the defending NCAA Champions their first dual-meet loss since January 1994, before a crowd of 1,050 Saturday night at the Jamail Texas Swimming Center.

Led by senior Neil Walker (Verona, Wis.) who had two individual victories, Texas dominated the meet, clinching the victory after just the 10th of 13 events. Walker finished first with NCAA automatic marks in both the 50yd freestyle (19.64) and the 100yd freestyle (43.36), and led the Longhorns to a first-place finish and NCAA automatic time in the 400yd medley relay (3:12.99). Also on the 400yd medley relay was junior Jeff Livingston (Dallas, Texas), freshman Nate Dusing (Villa Hills, Ky.) and freshman Matt Ulrickson (Scottsdale, Ariz.).
