Day three of the 2016 USA Olympic Swimming Trials welcomed the entrance of Michael Phelps into competition with prelims and semi-finals of the 200 fly. Additionally, the day crowned new Olympians as Olivia Smoliga, Ryan Murphy, Lilly King, and Townley Haas won their individual events to become first-time Olympians.

The night featured four finals and three semi-finals and introduced us to qualifying members for the men’s 4×200 freestyle relay.
