The NCAA Division III qualifying time for the 2015-16 season were posted today by USA Swimming’s stats departement.

After a season which witnessed a massive upgrade in overall speed, it’s going to be a bit tougher to get in the 2016 NCAA Championships held in Greensboro, N.C. March 16-19.

For the men, only three A cuts (50 free, 100 free, 100 back) remained the same from last season, while five of the women’s A cuts remained the same (500 free, 100 fly, 200 fly, 200 IM, 400 IM).

Basically there is not much difference across the board D1-D3. Swimmers are getting faster and faster I guess. But last time I was at La Salle our pool record was only 20 something. No one had gone 19. I didn’t think that many people are going 19 in 50 free??
