15 USMS Records Set At Mission Viejo Short Course Meters Meet

MISSION VIEJO, Calif, November 6. THERE was hot weather and fast swimming at the Mission Viejo Short Course Meters Meet on October 19th. Around 125 of Southern California’s finest took to the short course diving well at Mission to set 15 USMS/World records in the 80+ age groups.

Records include:

Walt Pfeiffer (90-94): 400 IM, 200 fly, 100 fly, 50 fly

Rita Simonton (85-89): 200 free, 400 free, 800 free, 1500 free

Woody Bowersock (90-94): 100 back, 50 free, 200 back, 100 free, 200 free, 50 back

Maxine Merlino(90-94): 50 fly

Coast Masters 360+ : 200 Mixed Medley Relay: Madeleine Miller, Maxine Merlino, Walt Pfeiffer, Woody Bowersock
