Osprey's Linnea Mack buzzed the tower on Kelly Naze's meet record of 52.93 from last year, but wound up taking the junior national title in just 53.02. Mack's swim cleared her previous lifetime best of 54.73 set in March of this year at the Juanita Allington Memorial Championships. Mantas' Danielle Nack touched just behind with a second-place 53.22, while 50-free victor Lindsey Engel of Orange County placed third in 53.34.
