Anthony Ervin Announces Participation in Rest of FINA World Cup Tour

BERKELEY, California, September 4. HE’s back! Last year, Anthony Ervin showed some entrepreneurial swagger by crowd-funding his participation in the 2012 FINA World Cup series. This year, he’s back for the rest of the 2013 edition as well.

With USA Swimming potentially changing up its travel funding policies a bit, Ervin now has the chance to be funded by the national federation, and has chosen to announce the rest of his FINA World Cup schedule exclusively with Swimming World.

Ervin will be in town for the last six stops of the circuit:
October 12-13 Moscow (RUS)
October 17-18 Dubai (UAE)
October 20-21 Doha (QAT)
November 5-6 Singapore (SIN)
November 9-10 Tokyo (JPN)
November 13-14 Beijing (CHN)

In 2012, Ervin picked up plenty of cash with 16 medals overall, and his involvement in the World Cup vaulted the two-time Olympian into position for a successful World Championship run in Barcelona where he collected a silver as part of the U.S. 400 free relay.

This week, Ervin will be in New Orleans at the ASCA World Clinic. He’s doing a live Q&A session on Friday at the FINIS suite at 10 a.m.
