Aalborg Elite Downs Danish Club Relay Record

AARHUS, Denmark, October 27. JUST two weeks after taking down the national club record in the 200 medley relay, Aalborg Elite tracked down the Danish club relay record in the 400 medley relay at the West Danish Championships.

Yesterday, Mie Nielsen tracked down the 200 free Danish national record previously held by Lotte Friis, today she smoked a 57.35 leadoff to help Aalborg Elite to the club relay record according to Swimming World Scandinavian correspondent Rokur Jakupsstovu.

The squad clocked a 4:00.21 to break the previous record of 4:03.06 set by Swim Team Odense at the 2009 Danish Short Course Championships. Jakupsstovu reports that Louise Dalgaard (1:08.6), Mathilde Pugholm Hvid (59.7) and Julie Levisen (54.38) were also part of the relay.

The Danish national record is a 3:49.87 from a victory in the 2012 World Short Course Championships.
