MELBOURNE, Australia, October 22. AUSTRALIA's Calum Timms, a butterfly specialist who swims for Melbourne Vicentre, has been tagged with a two-year doping ban according to a report by FINA.

Timms tested positive for a host of substances (Methylhexaneamine, N. alpha-diethyl-benzeneethanamine and 1-Phenylbutan-2-amine (Class S.6.b Specified Stimulants)) following a doping control test at the Swimming Victoria Open Championships on Jan. 13 of this year.

Swimming Australia, following some due diligence, has imposed a two-year doping ban on Timms dating back to July 29 of this year.

Timms had put together a strong season this year, with some strong swims in both the 50 and 100 butterfly events, but has been downed by a banned-substance cocktail that typically appears in nasal decongestants.
