Donahue won an Olympic gold medal as part of Team USA’s 400-meter medley relay at the 2012 London Olympics. She then earned a world title as part of that same relay at the 2013 Barcelona World Championships.

Donahue, who competed for Western Kentucky University as a collegiate athlete, first broke onto the international scene with a pair of golds at the 2011 Guadalajara Pan American Games. There, she topped the 100 fly and helped the 400 medley relay to victories.

But, 2012 definitely proved to be Donahue’s dream year when she earned a spot on the Olympic squad along with Dana Vollmer in the 100-meter fly at the 2012 U.S. Olympic Trials. This, after four years earlier not being able to make it out of prelims.

Donahue has since transitioned into a professional swimming career that includes being part of the swim clinic circuit.
