JYVASKYLA, Finland, July 7. THE Finnish Nationals closed out with another triumph by Jenna Laukkanen.

A day after taking down the Finnish record in the women's 200-meter breaststroke, Laukkanen clipped Anna Makinen, 32.05 to 32.06, for the women's 50-meter breast title. Veera Kivirinta wound up third in the event with a time of 32.26.

Ari-Pekka Liukkonen made a run at his Finnish record in the men's 50-meter free, but wound up with a 22.52 for the win. Toni Kurkinen (23.10) and Severi Allonen (23.18) touched second and third in the men's splash-and-dash.

Heidi Karjalainen touched out Petra Soininen, 1:01.87 to 1:01.89, in the women's 100-meter fly, while Linda Laihorinne placed third in 1:02.52. Sergei Haukka posted a 57.76 to win the men's 100-meter back, while Janne Markkanen (58.14) and Valtteri Halonen (58.35) completed the top three.

Vilma Ruotsalainen hit the wall in 5:02.47 to capture the women's 400-meter IM. Fanny Teijonsalo (5:07.56) and Janna Ovaska (5:09.72) rounded out the podium in the distance medley. Aleski Eskelinen followed in the men's 1500-meter free with a 16:04.52 for the win. Roope Lehtonen (16:25.48) and Hannes Vare (16:52.59) finished second and third in the metric mile.

Laura Lajunen dominated the women's 200-meter free in 2:04.72, while Aino Otava finished a distant second in 2:08.28. Laihorinne earned her second podium of the night with a third-place time of 2:08.51. In another dominant victory, Matti Mattsson prevailed in the men's 200-meter breast by nearly five seconds with a 2:14.69. Sami Myren placed second in 2:19.17, while Teemu Vuorela pocketed third in 2:20.13.
