SwimmingWorld.TV Rewind: Cameron van der Burgh

PHOENIX, Arizona, May 26. SWIMMING World might not be able to replace Cameron van der Burgh's trophies and medals that were stolen, but we can help him remember some of the memories those awards represent. With this in mind, here's a SwimmingWorld.TV Rewind of Cameron van der Burgh.

Van der Burgh first hit SwimmingWorld.TV during a Peter Busch news report in Nov. 2008 relating his short course world records at the FINA World Cup stop in Moscow. Van der Burgh posted a 26.08 in the 50 breast, while also clocking a 56.88 in the 100 breast.

Van der Burgh then lowered his 50 breast short course record at the FINA World Cup stop in Sweden later that month, a feat reported by Busch in this Morning Swim Show taping.

Van der Burgh's breakthrough swims during the 2008 FINA World Cup set up a conversation between Busch and Swimming World senior writer John Lohn.

In April 2009, van der Burgh made his first Morning Swim Show appearance during a live broadcast with Busch.

He returned in August of 2009 for another conversation with Busch on the Morning Swim Show.

Van der Burgh once again graced the Morning Swim Show with his presence in a Jan. 2010 interview with Busch.

Later that summer in 2010, van der Burgh joined Busch once again as one of the most interviewed athletes on the Morning Swim Show in October where van der Burgh explains what KeNako means as written on his hands during the Commonwealth Games.

Swimming World's Jeff Commings and Lohn talk about van der Burgh's 100 breast bronze medal at the 2011 World Championships in Shanghai.

Shortly after being named the Swimming World African Male Swimmer of the Year, van der Burgh sat down with Busch again to discuss the award in Nov. 2011.

Van der Burgh also took part in a Morning Swim Show tradition, when guests share holiday greetings.
