ADELAIDE, Australia, January 9. AUSTRALIAN Olympian Phil Rogers is celebrating the return of his stolen Olympic medal today, according to a report in Adelaide Now.
Acting on an anonymous tip, police confiscated the bronze medal Rogers won as part of the 400 medley relay at the 1996 Games. Nearly a dozen other medals won at several international meets, including the world championships and Pan Pacific championships, were not recovered, according to Adelaide Now.
The exact location where the medal was found was not revealed by police.
The Rogers home was robbed on December 20, though the medals and $10 from Rogers' daughter's money box were the only items reported missing.
