Slovenia Short Course Nationals: Robert Zbogar Up To Five Titles

KRANJ, Slovenia, November 25. ROBERT Zbogar has been the top swimmer of the Slovenia Short Course Nationals thus far, finishing the second night of swimming with five titles.

Zbogar followed up his trifecta from day one with a double on day two. He topped the men's 200 back in 2:01.53. Yuval Safra (2:03.47) and Vid Velickovic (2:19.06) took second and third in a sparsely-contested event. He took his second title of the night with a 2:01.01 in the men's 200 IM. Aleks Kostomaj finished second in 2:06.98, while Matjaz Zorman wound up third in 2:12.87.

Safra returned in the men's 800 free with an 8:13.13 for the win. Nejc Jurjevcic placed second in 8:18.66, while Martin Bau picked up third in 8:20.84. Anja Klinar snagged the women's 800 free in 8:31.34. Tanja Smid (8:31.39) and Ursa Bezan (8:39.99) rounded out the podium.

Anja Carman cruised to victory in the women's 200 back with a 2:09.16. Nina Stegu (2:20.84) and Ula Kozinc (2:22.54) finished a distance second and third. Ursa Bezan won the women's 200 IM in 2:18.58, while Mojca Sagmeister hit the wall in 2:20.67 for second. Ursa Ravnikar Surk finished third in 2:25.35.

Emil Tahirovic won the men's 50 breast in 27.52, while Matjaz Markic took second in 27.87. Robert Vovk picked up third in 28.37. Pia Hocevar Mucic captured the women's 50 breast in 33.80, while Tina Meza took a close second in 33.97. Tajda Topic earned third in 34.00.

Anze Tavcar claimed the men's 100 free in 50.35, while Ziga Cerkovnik took second in 50.75. Aleks Zlatnar earned third in 51.88. Nastja Govejsek won the women's 100 free in 56.12. Nina Sovinek touched second in 56.30, while Mojca Sagmeister picked up third in 56.76.
